Anzac Day

This Anzac Day means more than ever Anzac Day means a lot to me. Anzac Day is a day to remember those who have fought for their country. day I don’t to be thankful for those past and present who have done all they can for our country. Anzac Day this year my dad has been deployed and he’s never far from my thoughts. Grandfather was in Vietnam. Any ancestors before him I fought for our country. I beg you no not use the Anzac Day is another reason to drink but a day to celebrate. Our freedom has come at the price of a ancestors. Anzac biscuits we all know and love became a thing because they where something wives could send love ones over seas in World War One Because they would not spoil. Two up that people gather to play on Anzac Day was additionally played by soldiers in World War I. Everything everyone knows and loves playing or doing on Anzac Day has a true background and meaning. So please take a moment on this day with you go to a ceremony or not I beg of you please take a moment to think and be proud of where our countries come from. Think of those who are currently overseas doing what they can for our country think of those from the past the fought died. I think of those ancestors that are still alive today who have taken apart for a country whether it was Vietnam or World War II or any other war.

Dog tags from my ancestors

Lest we forget
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them.

Lest we forget.

Proud to have sewed on my dads patches on his uniform
